The Charm

To make a heart that since its first beat
has always craved the black and blue
suddenly feel so full and colourful,
A parachute in a playground
catching all the hopeful air

To warm the skin on which the hair
stands so unyieldingly tall like soldiers,
Easily bruised as a peach
now sweet and sticky
around a smiling mouth

To hold the gaze of these eyes
that have long exposed the int beneath the ext,
aiming for the ground when nowhere else will do

That is magic
And that was all you.
